Remote Operations Project Manager

Our Remote Operations Project Managers play a vital role in coordinating internal and external resources to properly and efficiently implement remote operations programs for our customers. As a Remote Operations Project Manager, you will be tasked with managing remote operations projects from start to finish, both physically at our Demonstration Site in Fenton, MI, and in the field. Remote operations is the future of the drone and robotics industry and you will be working alongside the most experienced team in the business to continue offering our customers the elevated level of service and support they’ve come to expect. This role requires rigorous attention to detail, documentation, and the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced, technically and logistically complex environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop deep, customer-centric relationships, managing both internal and external project teams
  • Maintain and expand our project management systems and tools
  • Participate in regular and ad hoc virtual and in-person meetings with internal and external teams
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with remote team members
  • Work with a fast-paced team to support commercial and government customers through exemplary customer service
  • Assist customers with questions and facilitate transactions in a prompt, courteous, and concise manner
  • Work with the sales team, empowering them to be force multipliers for remote operations projects, educating the team on where the breakpoints and handoffs should be through the pre and post-sales process
  • Serve as a project manager to coordinate each aspect of the implementation, including but not limited to:
    • Coordinate with our Operations and Logistics Team for hardware fulfillment
    • Coordinate with subcontractors for infrastructure, construction, and other milestones
    • Coordinate with software suppliers, ensuring subscriptions are active for installation teams
    • Coordinate with the customer to execute pre-site tasks needed for the project
  • Validate the completion of pre-site tasks prior to the installation team’s arrival
  • Manage installations, ensuring tasks are completed to the specifications and standards of UVT and our hardware and software partners
  • Coordinate Demonstration Site operations, including the scheduling and coordination of the Remote Operations Flight Crew and related air assets
  • Serve as a direct, customer-facing sales representative when needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Experience

  • 1+ years of drone industry experience
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, Apple iOS, Apple iPad OS, and Android operating systems
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Google Mail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Slack, Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience in kanban-based project management systems and apps, i.e., Trello, Notion, etc.
  • Basic technical, software, and firmware knowledge

Certifications / Licenses

  • A current 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot in Command Certificate at the time of hire is preferred
