UVT Introduces Dronetag RIDER to Enhance Airspace Awareness for Security, Safety, and Infrastructure Teams
Unmanned Vehicle Technologies (UVT) is now offering the Dronetag RIDER, a compact, mobile detection tool built to give public safety agencies, correctional facilities, infrastructure operators, and enterprise security teams immediate awareness of drones, and their operators.
As the drone threat landscape continues to evolve, so does the need for simple, field-ready technology that provides actionable intelligence. Dronetag RIDER delivers that capability in real time. With a quick deployment setup and intuitive interface, RIDER allows teams to see nearby drone activity and pinpoint the exact location of the pilot—helping accelerate response, de-escalate risk, and maintain secure operations in the air and on the ground.
“The teams we serve need tools that are as fast-moving and flexible as they are,” said Chris Fink, CEO of UVT. “Dronetag RIDER provides immediate airspace visibility in a form factor that fits in a backpack. It’s the kind of capability enterprise professionals can trust and deploy at a moment’s notice.”
UVT is now inviting qualified agencies and organizations to order Dronetag RIDER units and put them to work in the field.
Dronetag Rider
A compact, wireless, battery-powered Remote ID drone detector, designed for public safety organizations and professional pilots.

With a rugged design, compact footprint, and intuitive platform integration, RIDER is ideal for temporary airspace security, major events, mobile operations, corrections monitoring, and remote deployments where fixed systems are not feasible.
RIDER supports real-time data sharing via integrated LTE, Bluetooth, or USB-C, making it equally effective for live response or offline, secure environments. With 6 to 10 hours of battery life and a detection range of up to 3 miles with the default antenna—or up to 6 miles with the optional high-performance antenna—RIDER is built to perform wherever it’s needed.
In addition to RIDER, UVT will soon begin accepting waitlist requests for the Dronetag SCOUT, a fixed-location drone detection system designed for facility monitoring, critical infrastructure, and extended perimeter security.
With seamless integration into UVT’s remote operations and cUAS platforms, the Dronetag ecosystem adds a new layer of modular, scalable detection capability to UVT’s end-to-end solutions.
"Knowing the exact position of a drone is helpful. But knowing where the pilot is can be critical. It’s the key to de-escalating potentially dangerous situations, enforcing regulations, or simply making contact to ensure safe operations. That’s why at Dronetag, we’ve made pilot location a priority in our technology."
